International Trade (Lecturer: K.-H. Paqué)
This course is concerned with the most important theories of International Trade and how they relate to the developments in the real world economy. It attempts to provide an up-to-date and understandable analytical framework for illuminating current events and bringing the excitement of international trade into the classroom.

Macroeconomic Analysis (Lecturer: G. Schwödiauer)
Topics: Ramsey-type growth models with infinite and finite individual time horizon; overlapping generation models; money and finance in intertemporal macro-models; endogenous growth.

Textbook: Romer, D., Advanced Macroeconomics, 2nd ed., McGraw-Hill 2001.

 

Behavioral Finance (Lecturer: B. Vogt)
Empirical evidence and possible explanations of market and portfolio anomalies as: bubbles, short run momentum, long run reversal, equity premium puzzle, excess volatility, Co-movements, underdiversification, home bias, excessive trading.

 

Microeconomic Analysis (Lecturer: Th. Riechmann)

After a concise introduction to advanced methods from game theory, the course will cover selected topics in coordination, information theory and market forms.

 

Mathematical Economics (Lecturer: F. Werner)

The lecture consists of two major parts: Nonlinear Programming and Microeconomics and Differential Equations, Optimal Control Theory and Macroeconomics.
