Seminar: „Global Aspects of Trade Policy: Simulation Game“ in SS12

The goal of the simulation game is to get to know fundamental aspects of worldwide trade policy by taking over the roles as “global player”. In particular, students should realize economic policy oriented interests of nations with a different level of industrialization and economic development. In addition, they should develop a sensibility on how to achieve global solutions and compromises that adequately consider all relevant aspects of trade policy, international justice, and world-economic progress.
- Please submit your application (Matricul. Nr. and Email, short letter of motivation and transcript of grades) until March 31st 2012 to the Department of International Economics (Build. 22, Room C-107). We are going to inform you about your participation at the beginning of April.
- The seminar consists of two parts: simulation game and seminar. The simulation game will be organized by external professionals with more than 15 years of experience in developing and organizing political simulation games in academic and non-academic contexts (http://www.planpolitik.de/). The seminar will be take place once a week. Seminar topics will be announced until the end of March.
- Depending on the language skills of the participants, the seminar will either be held in English or German.
- Time and place of the mandatory initial meeting with final registration and assignment of the topics will be announced soon.
